To put my latent foodie monologues into context, I am a young professional, in my mid twenties, who has found comfort in the kitchen ever since I was given a wooden spoon at the tender age of three. Standing on my blue “booster box” in the kitchen at mother’s side, I learned to weigh, fold and whisk my way through doughs, batters and pastries. Building an elementary, and what would later become an impassioned, relationship with food.
Cooking, for me, is a way of returning to this innocent world. Escaping the stresses and strains of every day modern life with a total mind and body immersion into the creation of delicious meals and tantalising treats.
